Job Details

Controls Technician
This position is responsible for the commissioning of e-mobility machine tool equipment. This will include troubleshooting the electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, making program and wiring changes, and often requires mechanical troubleshooting and making minor adjustment/repairs with an emphasis on electrical startup and program changes.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning of our assembly systems for electric drives and battery modules at the customer's premises
  • Programming and configuration of control systems, HMIs, bus systems and interfaces to state-of-the-art subsystems
  • Adaptation and extension of control logic, control algorithms and user interfaces
  • Execution of tests of individual machine functions as well as associated optimizations and troubleshooting
  • Analysis and elimination of malfunctions and continuous improvement of system performance
  • Preparation of technical documentation and reports
  • Regularly communicate with customers, project teams and other specialist departments
  • Other duties as required

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma minimum; Associates Degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Robotics and Automation, or similar program
  • PLC or CNC programming experience (Siemens preferred)
  • General PC and Networking skills
  • 2 years’ relevant experience preferred

  • Self-motivated; able to work alone or in a team (international environment)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Willing to travel domestic and international
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
