2nd shift, on-site 2pm-10:30pm
Looking for a permanent Senior Controls & Automation Specialist. This position will report to and work with the Maintenance and Engineering Managers. You will be the SME for all things Controls, Automation and Programming. This is a leadership opportunity without the direct reports!
This position will maintain all of the plant and production electrical and control systems. You will work alone and on a team to program the plant's equipment and systems.
Leadership position overseeing the installation, programming, and maintenance of various Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems, and related automation solutions. Inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining food processing and packaging equipment in a food manufacturing production environment. Must be willing to travel to other plants when needed (infrequently).
Must haves:
o Must supply feedback to update procedures and deficiencies noted in a CMMS system.
o Must be able to write job specific procedures and establish job task frequencies.

- 5+ Years of controls/ automation exp.
- Exp. troubleshooting 24V, 480V, PLCs & VFDs
- Exp. programming PLCs and VFDs (Allen Bradley pref.)
- Must be able to teach trouble shooting skills using laptop of PLC, VFD, HMI operations
- Exp. with RSLogix500 & 5000
- Exp. with CMMS a plus -
o Must supply feedback to update procedures and deficiencies noted in a CMMS system.
o Must be able to write job specific procedures and establish job task frequencies.
- Able to fully incorporate programs utilizing Factory talk View as well as software ladder logics.
- Able to upgrade obsolete PLC HMI and VFD’s with newest versions available.
- Exp. in a Food production environment a plus
