Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Offer support for the installation of instrumentation equipment, encompassing tasks like device mounting, field wiring terminations, startup procedures, and calibration.
- Perform the startup, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial control equipment, including motor starters, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, and control panels.
- Participate in the fabrication and wiring of industrial PLC and motor control panels.
- Conduct testing and initiation procedures for PLC-based control systems, involving industrial networking equipment and PC-based HMI software.
- Engage in modifying and updating PLC and HMI programs throughout the startup process.
- Read and interpret control circuits, schematics, and line drawings associated with industrial control equipment.
- Keep schematic drawings up to date following field installation and startup.
- Collaborate directly with on-site customers, ensuring they receive top-notch service.
- Work closely with multiple Project Managers across various projects.
- Develop and/or revise AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electric drawings.
- Program HMI devices, which include operator interface panels and PC workstations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proficiency in constructing and wiring PLCs, motor control panels, and motor control centers.
- Familiarity with industrial networking equipment, such as switches, patch panels, controllers, and graphical interface equipment.
- Field experience in dealing with industrial control panels, including tasks related to wiring, startup, testing, maintenance, and service.
- Practical experience in handling instrumentation, including level, flow, and pressure instruments.
- Knowledge of water/wastewater process control is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Possession of an Associate's or higher degree in electrical technology or engineering, or licensure as a journeyman electrician.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is essential.
