We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team and help develop and maintain automated systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automation engineering. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining automated systems to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement automation systems.
Develop algorithms for automation systems.
Test and troubleshoot automation systems.
Integrate automation systems with existing systems.
Perform data analysis to identify areas of improvement in automation systems.
Maintain and update automation systems as needed.
Provide technical support for automation systems.
· Responsible for equipment automation throughout the Bethlehem facility, which includes, but is not limited to upgrades to existing equipment, troubleshooting problems, installing new equipment, etc.

· Sees changes through to completion, from initiation of change controls to revising SWIs, coordinating work with Maintenance/Engineering, etc., to close out CCs

· Participates in and executes qualifications and validations

· Collaborates with Production, Packaging, Maintenance, Engineering to improve processes through automation

· Responsible for projects from design through implementation

· Manages risk to achieve organizations’ strategic objectives in areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production

Education/Experience

· BS (Electrical Engineering preferred, but other science or engineering degrees may be acceptable)

· Minimum of 5 years of experience

· Expert in PLC’s, Microsoft Servers, Server Virtual Environment, Rockwell Automation, Microsoft SQL

· Knowledge of the regulations and their application to the manufacturing processes

· Knowledge of various means of root cause analysis, and the ability to both investigate alone and to lead group analyses

· Knowledge of project management concepts

· Knowledge of troubleshooting skills along with root cause analysis

· Knowledge of CMMS system and functions

· PLC's, Servers, HMI's, MS Office, AutoCAD
