Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for a wide range of industrial automation projects. Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop control systems for industrial automation projects, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
2. Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) using various software platforms such as Siemens, Omron, and Rockwell.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop specifications, and create detailed designs for control systems.
4. Utilize Solidworks and AutoCAD software to create detailed panel designs and layouts for control systems.
5. Develop HMI (Human-Machine Interface) programs to provide operators with user-friendly interfaces to control and monitor industrial processes.
6. Create bill of materials (BOM) for control systems, ensuring all necessary components are included and sourced.
7. Conduct fieldbus configuration and troubleshooting to ensure seamless communication between different devices in the control system.
8. Perform testing and commissioning of control systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet performance targets.
9. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams during the installation and maintenance of control systems.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in control system technologies, and propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer or in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
3. Strong proficiency in PLC programming, with experience using software platforms such as Siemens, Omron, and Rockwell.
4. Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD, with the ability to create detailed panel designs and layouts.
5. Experience in HMI programming, creating user-friendly interfaces for industrial processes.
6. Strong understanding of fieldbus configuration and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless communication between devices.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex control system issues.
8. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
