Major Duties:

• Create detailed drawings and bills of material for manufacturing and purchasing based on design specifications and process needs.
• Program PLC or HMI or drives to make web handling machines functional as intended.
• Help find solutions to customer requests.
• Assist applications with customer inquiries regarding technical applications, quoting, manufacturing, and delivery capabilities, etc.
• Check product design and specifications for compatibility with manufacturing capabilities and value (internal or external).
• Recommend changes in design or specifications as needed to reduce cost, add value, increase manufacturing efficiency, or improve performance.
• Perform project management duties in support of order processing and manufacturing including coordination with customers, suppliers, outside sales representatives and all internal functions.
• Maintain records, files, and databases for future reference.
• Assist with customer complaints and warranty issues as needed. Work with others in organization to provide solutions or rework options.

Desired Education and Experience:

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Technology or Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience

Skills and Abilities:

• Good oral and written communicator.
• Knowledge of windows-based computer applications, such as Excel.
• Ability to read and create drawings, bills of material and technical specifications with knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical.
• Ability to program or modify programs to support PLC’s, HMIs, or drive platforms.
• Technical aptitude with the knowledge of or ability to learn engineering concepts related to heat-transfer, fluid dynamics, metals and metallurgy, plating and coatings, thermal spray, or electromechanical devices
• Technical knowledge of or ability to learn and support manufacturing procedures and practices.
• Ability to work in a team environment, or, independently without supervision.
• Ability to effectively balance between customer satisfaction and optimizing financial returns.
• Travel as needed to support customer deliveries or service requests. Travel estimated to be 25% or less.
