Controls Engineer - Automotive

We are a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer out of Michigan who is looking for a controls engineer out of our Benton Harbor, MI plant to continue pushing our manufacturing/engineering department to the standard of excellence that we are accustomed to.

This role involves assisting in the development and design of control software using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human/Machine Interfaces (HMI), troubleshooting problems efficiently, and engineering upgrades to enhance equipment efficiency.

MUST HAVE:

• BS in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of controls engineering experience in plant environments
• PLC/HMI programming experience with Allen Bradley Rockwell and/or Siemens
• Industrial networking knowledge
• VFD/Servo drive systems
• Knowledge of fluid power controls (hydraulic, pneumatic, etc)
• Vision systems

NICE TO HAVE:

• Automotive industry experience in a STRONG preference
• If no automotive experience, plastics manufacturing experience is also applicable
