Job Details
- Develop customized vision software tailored for automated defect recognition systems to enhance manufacturing quality control processes.
- Create systems and computer programs for both analog and digital data acquisition and transfer in manufacturing and testing environments, ensuring efficient and accurate data management.
- Design and implement specialized instrumentation and modifications to existing equipment, aligning with current production requirements to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate on the design of controls, equipment, and procedures for production and testing equipment, providing comprehensive support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project requirements and status reports to various stakeholders, including management, customers, suppliers, and internal teams, Inc. personnel.
- Develop, modify, and implement servo and stepper motion programs using associated software integrated with the teams controls standards, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Specify equipment and recommend test methods and procedures, overseeing the planning, estimation, scheduling, and implementation of controls and test procedures.
- Lead projects on contracts requiring significant instrumentation or computer programs input, including the generation of proposals and ensuring project success.
- Offer computer and controls support to all departments, including production tooling interfacing, safety recommendations, and suggestions for automated testing, inspection, and production systems.
- Provide electronics support to all departments and assist engineers and technical staff in resolving complex technical issues, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Address production and controls supervision requirements for machine operation and productivity data, including hardware, software, settings, and controls adjustments as needed.
- Interface with customers, test labs, vendors, and other facilities in controls, testing, and instrumentation areas, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience as a controls engineer
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
