We are seeking a skilled individual to spearhead internal accounting operations within our organization. Reporting directly to the company’s VP of Finance, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

Oversight of both senior and junior accounting staff to ensure the accurate and timely completion of General Accounting processes, G/L management, cost accounting, and financial close procedures.
Maintenance of the general accounting function to guarantee the punctual and precise completion of month, quarter, and year-end reports.
Crucial involvement in establishing and managing internal controls.
Accuracy in tax compliance and reporting.
Collaboration with external auditors to facilitate year-end financial audit activities.
Key participation in preparing the organization for potential future IPO endeavors.
Support in the rollout of multiple production facilities across the US.
Compensation for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience, including a competitive base salary along with a significant equity stake offering considerable potential for growth.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the following areas:

Standards: Profound familiarity with GAAP standards and financial reporting. Preferably experienced in the design and implementation of ERP systems.
Experience Across Diverse Scales and Contexts: Ability to navigate the dynamic environment of a disruptive startup while understanding the perspectives of entities of varying sizes, aiding our rapid scaling efforts.
Hands-on Accounting Proficiency: Demonstrated capability in formulating accounting strategies and spearheading accounting initiatives, such as chart of accounts definition, revenue recognition implementation, financial dashboard creation and maintenance, and facilitating efficient month/year-end closures.
Technical Aptitude: Advanced proficiency in Excel with robust analytical capabilities.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Manufacturing Industry Experience: Highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as an assistant controller or controller in a corporate accounting department.
Previous involvement in high-growth environments.
Exposure to publicly held companies.
Proficiency in NetSuite.
CPA certification.
