We are on the lookout for a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permanent Controller in the Finance industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will play a critical role in managing our financial health. This role requires a deep understanding of wealth management, public accounting, financial reporting, and assets management. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach, with a proven track record of improving processes and promoting best practices in financial management.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
3. Regularly produce financial reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial reporting standards.
4. Coordinate all audit activities and manage relationships with external auditors.
5. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
6. Implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
7. Collaborate with executive leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to finance, budgeting, and cost control.
8. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
9. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
10. Manage the company's investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
4. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
6. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, specifically with pivot tables and Vlookups.
9. Working knowledge of the SEC regulations.
10. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
11. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
12. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
13. Previous experience in wealth management and assets management.
