Job Details:

Our esteemed organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our financial management department, providing leadership and coordination in business planning, accounting, auditing, and budgeting. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial real estate, international and European investor relations, and tax legislation. A CPA with several years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Controller, you will be tasked with the following:

1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
3. Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
4. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
5. Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.
6. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
7. Liaise with international and European investors, providing them with comprehensive financial updates and fostering strong investor relations.
8. Oversee all financial, project/program, and grants accounting; ensuring that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period.
9. Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive tax strategy to support the organizational goals.
10. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Controller position, the candidate must possess the following:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. An MBA, CPA, or related experience is highly preferred.
2. Proven experience in a senior financial managerial position for a period of 3+ years.
3. Profound knowledge of commercial real estate and investor relations.
4. Proven experience dealing with international and European investors.
5. Advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software.
6. Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
9. Self-motivated and self-directed.
10. Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
11. Preferable CPA, extensive accounting experience and understanding ot taxes.
12. Experience with international clients. Our clients are all European investors in US Commercial real estate
