Title: Controller
Location: Worcester, MA
Salary: $120,000 - $170,000
Requirements: Full Cycle Accounting/ Team Management/ Financial Planning

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
2. Advanced degree in Accounting.
3. CPA or CMA preferred.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements.
6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
8. Advanced proficiency in Excel.
9. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
11. Proven experience in financial project management.
12. Experience in the construction industry is a must.
13. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
14. Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.
