We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the construction industry. This role requires a unique individual who possesses a deep understanding of financial management in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial reporting, cash reconciliation, internal controls, and strategic financial planning. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax, and audit functions.
• Direct financial strategy, planning, and forecasts; partnering closely with the President
• Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
• Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management and advise on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
• Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
• Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
• Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
• Review reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggest methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
• Contribute to the development of the strategic plan.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a senior finance role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to strategize and solve problems.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Masters and CPA is a strong advantage.
• Experience in the construction industry with strong understanding of cost accounting
• Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the construction industry.
• Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and accounting for investments.
• A thorough knowledge of financial reporting, cash reconciliation, and internal controls.
