Job Details

In your capacity as our Corporate Controller, you will oversee the preparation, consolidation and reporting of all financial statements and analysis, ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations, and manage a team of accounting, accounts payable and receivable operations and tax professionals. You will also help us establish and mature our Tax functions as the complexity of our business grows. This role is ideal for a seasoned Accounting professional with a passion for team-building, vision-setting, and process improvement.

What You'll Do:


  • Be a strategic thought partner to the CFO as well as key cross-functional leaders
  • Oversee management and direction of the team, including hiring, performance management, optimizing organizational structure, and long-term vision setting
  • Lead month-end close process
  • Scale and optimize our Accounting systems, including driving a timely and effective implementation of new ERP system and identify areas where enhancements may be necessary
  • Reduce time to close by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to automate or streamline highly manual reporting processes
  • Oversee debt compliance reporting, GAAP reporting and consolidation of financials with IFRS reporting
  • Oversee third party tax provider and collaborate with CFO to establish long-term staffing plan for tax function
  • Ensure a successful and timely annual and quarterly audit
  • Build out external reporting functions to set us up for success as a public company
  • Implement new accounting standards, as applicable, being always abreast of accounting changes
  • Collaborate with management to understand and document accounting considerations of new products or revenue streams, as well as providing strategic recommendations with regards to accounting implications that certain products may or may not create.
  • Produce and report consolidated financial statements to both internal and external parties as required


What You'll Need to Have:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance, with at least 5 years in a senior role
  • Strong command of SEC, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards
  • Experience managing accounting resources
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills


Preferred:

  • Experience with major ERP implementations
  • Prior role at a Big 4 Accounting firm
  • Active CPA license
