Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial department, managing all aspects of financial operations, including accrual accounting, inventory accounting, journal entries, reporting, and financial controls. This role is integral to our growth and success, ensuring financial accuracy and driving profitability.

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controller, you will be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities that are crucial to our financial operations. These include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all accounting operations, including accrual and inventory accounting.
2. Preparing and posting journal entries and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements.
3. Developing and maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
4. Generating timely and accurate financial reports for management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
5. Coordinating the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
6. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
7. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
8. Advising on the financial implications of business decisions and strategies.
9. Continually improving systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and control.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controller position will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on accrual accounting, inventory accounting, journal entries, reporting, and financial controls.
3. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proficiency in using advanced financial software and MS Office Suite.
5. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing financial team.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
