The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures. This role will also include strategic financial planning, financial risk management, and the management of financial resources to ensure the company's financial performance and growth.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
2. Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities.
3. Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
4. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
5. Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
6. Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary.
7. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
8. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
9. Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting.
10. Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
11. Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
12. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information are secure and stored in compliance with current legislation.
13. Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.
14. Assist the CEO and the Board Treasurer with financial reporting as required at Board meetings and the Annual General Meetings.

Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.
4. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
6. Proficiency in the use of computer programs for accounting, database management, spreadsheet, and other financial analysis software.
7. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
10. Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
11. Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members.
12. High attention to detail and accuracy.
13. Ability to direct and supervise.
