Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Controller, you will play a pivotal role in our financial department. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash flow, and month-end reconciliations.
2. Preparing and presenting detailed, consolidated financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and potential areas of concern.
3. Implementing and maintaining robust financial controls and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
4. Coordinating the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, driving efficiency and effectiveness across our financial operations.
7. Managing relationships with external auditors and other key stakeholders, ensuring the timely completion of all audits and reviews.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar finance role, ideally within the engineering industry.
2. Proven experience managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash flow, and month-end reconciliations.
3. Demonstrated experience preparing consolidated financial reports for multiple entities.
4. Strong knowledge of financial controls, processes, and reporting standards.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
7. A professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
