Controller

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the technology industry. This role is an integral part of our finance department, providing financial leadership and ensuring the company's financial health. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all company accounts and investments.
• Supervise and manage the financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
• Develop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare all financial statements and present them to the board in regular meetings.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process.
• Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process.
• Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
• Implement a robust contracts management and financial management system.
• Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices.
• Improve the finance department's overall policy and procedure manual.
• Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the board of directors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
• Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software.
• Able to solve high-level accounting and finance problems.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong supervisory skills and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent understanding of data analysis and forecasting models.
• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
