Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Controller for our Engineering division. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to play a critical role in our organization's growth and financial success. The Permanent Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in real estate and private equity, with a proven track record in project management and leadership. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and adherence to company policies and regulations.
2. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
3. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
4. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
5. Develop and implement financial controls and systems to enhance accuracy, productivity, and business performance.
6. Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analysis to the senior management team.
7. Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process.
8. Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
9. Supervise the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and exceptional performance.
10. Liaise with external auditors, managing audit process and implementing audit recommendations.
11. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a controller role, preferably within the engineering or real estate industry.
3. Solid understanding of private equity, with proven experience in financial reporting and forecasting.
4. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices.
5. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
6. Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
7. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
