We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Cost Accountant to join our thriving finance team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our company's financial health by analyzing and managing cost accounting data, and ensuring we meet our financial goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex cost analyses, implementing cost standards, and preparing budget reports. This role requires a commitment to strategic financial planning and a strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, analyze and report monthly manufacturing costs including variances, comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
2. Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures, analyzing variances, and calculating the cost of new or existing product lines.
3. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure inventory accuracy and completeness.
4. Conduct regular physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
5. Implement cost accounting systems and oversee the cost-related aspects of financial reporting.
6. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and strategic planning.
7. Review and analyze margin reports, conducting research and performing analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
8. Ensure compliance with internal controls, external regulations, and GAAP.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
4. Exceptional knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, cost reporting, and cost analysis.
5. Proficient in accounting software and with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high levels of difficulty.
9. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a drive for results and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
