Controller - Manufacturing

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller for our Manufacturing division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a bustling environment and is well-versed in working closely with senior management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting within the manufacturing industry. The ability to manage inventory, cost accounting, and reporting is a must, as is proficiency in SyteLine ERP. This role will oversee all financial activities and will be instrumental in driving the company's financial strategy and hiring needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
2. Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms' performance.
5. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
6. Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex financial and accounting data.
7. Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc.
8. Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
9. Communicate financial metrics to senior executives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required, MBA preferred
2. 3+ years of experience in a senior finance role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis and reporting tools.
4. Proven experience in financial project management.
5. Proficiency with SyteLine ERP system.
6. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
7. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
8. Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is considered a plus.
9. Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
10. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
11. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
13. Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
