We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Controller to join our team. This role is pivotal to our financial operations, ensuring the smooth running of our accounting, payroll, and financial reporting systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including construction accounting, Accounts Payable (AP) processes, Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, income tax, financial reporting, and cash management. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with 5+ years of experience to contribute to our company's financial growth and stability.

Responsibilities

As a Controller, you will:

1. Oversee all construction accounting operations, including AP processes, AR, and payroll.
2. Manage and supervise the preparation of all financial reports; ensure they comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
3. Implement and maintain systems for cash management, ensuring the company meets its financial obligations.
4. Prepare and submit income tax returns in compliance with relevant legislation.
5. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
6. Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
7. Analyze financial data to identify potential risks and opportunities.
8. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
9. Ensure all financial operations align with company's objectives and business plans.
10. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Controller position should possess the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience with construction accounting, AP processes, AR, payroll, income tax, financial reporting, and cash management.
4. Strong understanding of construction accounting standards and tax-related issues.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Ability to strategize and solve problems promptly.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. High attention to detail and accuracy.
