Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Controller with WIP Cost Analysis experience. This position presents an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our financial management team, overseeing all aspects of our construction accounting operations. You will be responsible for managing our Work in Progress (WIP) schedules, performing cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Controller in Construction Accounting (WIP), your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of all financial records related to construction projects, including WIP schedules.
2. Performing cost analysis to identify potential areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
3. Ensuring accurate accounting of all construction costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
4. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts related to construction activities.
5. Coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including GAAP.
7. Providing financial guidance and support to senior management, including strategic planning and budgeting.
8. Identifying and implementing improvements to our construction accounting processes and systems.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controller in Construction Accounting (WIP) position will have the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
2. A minimum of three years of experience in a controller, accounting, or similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices, including WIP accounting.
4. Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to perform cost analysis and identify potential areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
9. A strong commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
