Non-Profit Accountant

We are a large non-profit based in Los Angeles that put the people we serve at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Mortgage industry. As a Contract Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable billing, billing, and collections processes. You will be working closely with our team of professionals to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts receivable billing process, including invoicing and payment processing
• Prepare and distribute monthly billing statements to clients
• Follow up on past due accounts and initiate collections efforts
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Assist with month-end closing procedures
• Prepare financial reports and analysis as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable billing, billing, and collections
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
