We are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is a contract position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our payroll department. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, auditing, benefits, and compensation management. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent data analysis skills and a deep understanding of HRIS, multi-state payroll, ADP, timekeeping systems, garnishments, payroll deductions, and payroll tax.

Responsibilities:

As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Auditing payroll data to detect any discrepancies and rectifying them promptly.
  • Administering employee benefits and compensation, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conducting detailed data analysis to provide insights and recommendations for payroll optimization.
  • Utilizing HRIS to manage and maintain employee data.
  • Processing multi-state payroll, understanding the unique requirements and regulations of each state.
  • Using ADP and other timekeeping systems to track employee hours and attendance.
  • Handling garnishments, payroll deductions, and payroll tax, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Collaborating with HR and finance departments to streamline payroll processes and resolve any issues.
  • Staying updated with the latest payroll trends, tax changes, and legal regulations to ensure the company is always compliant.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Analyst position should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in payroll, auditing, benefits, and compensation management.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and present data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with HRIS, multi-state payroll, ADP, timekeeping systems, garnishments, payroll deductions, and payroll tax.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll issues promptly.
  • Knowledge of the latest payroll trends, tax changes, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus.
