Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects.
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically with multifamily and mid-rise construction projects.
  • Proven track record of managing all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets.
  • Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Extensive experiencing managing budgets for large construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of multitasking and effectively managing your time.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
