Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Foreman with expertise in Cold Storage and/or food distribution facility projects. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the construction industry and with a knack for managing complex projects, and for those who want to take the next step in their career as a Superintendent within a year. Projects are located throughout the country, with most immediate needs being in Georgia, Washington, and Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the construction of industrial cold storage facilities, food processing units, and commercial refrigeration systems. This challenging role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors effectively.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage all phases of the construction process for cold storage, food processing, and commercial refrigeration projects.

2. Coordinate and supervise a team of subcontractors, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.

3. Conduct system testing, pressure testing, and hydrostatic testing to ensure the functionality and safety of all systems.

4. Oversee the installation and maintenance of piping, freezer, freezer subslab, and control systems.

5. Ensure all construction projects comply with industry regulations and safety standards.

6. Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects.

7. Manage project budgets, ensuring all works are completed within the allocated resources.

8. Solve on-site issues and implement corrective measures promptly.

9. Ensure the quality of work is maintained throughout the project, conducting regular inspections and audits.

10. Coordinate and lead regular project meetings, providing updates on project progress, potential issues, and solutions.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Foreman in the construction industry, preferably in cold storage, food processing, or commercial refrigeration.

2. Proven experience in industrial construction and project management.

3. Familiarity with food distribution and food distribution facilities is a plus.

4. Extensive knowledge of system testing, pressure testing, and hydrostatic testing.

5. Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors effectively.

6. Proficient in the installation and maintenance of piping, freezer, and control systems.

7. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, processes, and safety regulations.

8. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

9. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

10. Relevant certification or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
