Job Details
We are seeking a skilled Construction Accountant to join our client's dynamic team. The Construction Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, budgets, and reporting for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, particularly within the construction industry, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments and invoices.
Perform cost analysis and budget forecasting for ongoing projects, providing insights to project managers and stakeholders.
Monitor project expenses and revenue, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to inform decision-making and support strategic planning.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to resolve financial discrepancies and address any concerns or issues.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the construction project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
