Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Develop and implement complex litigation strategies to achieve successful resolution in federal and state courts.
3. Handle a wide variety of civil litigation cases involving railroads, maritime, landslide, construction, trucking, and railing.
4. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
5. Conduct thorough and detailed case assessments to identify legal issues and potential litigation risks.
6. Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
7. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal issues and risks.
8. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal trends, and industry regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate legal advice.
10. Foster and maintain client relationships through exceptional customer service and communication.

Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation.
3. Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
4. Proven experience in managing a diverse caseload including federal court cases, railroad, maritime, landslide, construction, trucking, and railing.
5. Exceptional negotiation, research, and communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound legal judgments and decisions.
7. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and cases in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficient in legal research tools and software.
9. Must be a team player with a commitment to achieving excellence in the practice of law.
