Job Details

You'll play a vital role in overseeing the full life cycle of diverse projects. You'll collaborate closely with our valued customers and dedicated team members, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and up to our esteemed quality standards. Your role involves safeguarding and promoting the project's interests, and taking proactive measures to fulfill our customers' desires for products with impeccable quality and attention to detail. With your advanced understanding of various standard and specialty drywall and drywall ceilings, you'll excel in the following areas:

  • Reviewing project scope requirements to identify and establish clear expectations with all stakeholders, providing clarity on scope, products, schedule, and coordination.
  • Ensuring accurate bid proposals and delivering projects in line with profit expectations.
  • Skillfully managing projects from start to finish, establishing effective communication with the entire team, conducting take-offs, managing material orders, overseeing project management, and handling project closeouts and punch lists.
  • Engaging in professional face-to-face customer interactions and sales involvement, building strong relationships from initial contact through successful business closure.
  • Maximizing opportunities to secure market share by employing consultative selling techniques and making informed recommendations on the diverse solutions our company offers to address clients' business issues.
  • Developing a robust database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, cold calling, email outreach, networking, and other effective methods.
  • Taking responsibility for billing and collections, preparing monthly payment requests, and following up with clients to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintaining control over projects by diligently tracking project schedules and budgets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Demonstrating exceptional communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, construction teams, and project management personnel, effectively discussing specifications, scope of work, costs, and performance challenges.
  • Leveraging your strong knowledge of drywall and installation to troubleshoot field issues during production and identify potential challenges during the bidding phase.
  • Skillfully negotiating material buyouts to obtain the best possible prices.
  • Exhibiting the ability to understand, evaluate, and adeptly respond to customer proposals and RFPs for significant renovation and capital expenditure projects, including a comprehensive analysis of blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Possessing familiarity with construction industry practices, methods, materials, installations, specifications, and conditions.

You should have some of the following experience:

  • 2+ years prior experience in commercial drywall estimating or project management exp.
  • Exp. with metal framing and stud sizes
  • OST and Quick Bid would be a plus
  • Familiarity with formal procurement and submittal processes such as RFQ, RFI, RFP
  • Ability to coordinate with Field supervision & Warehouse
  • Strong Customer support & Communication
