Commercial Estimator - Concrete

Our client is a growing but established Commercial GC based in the Northwest Arkansas area.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in commercial construction, project estimating, and concrete work. You will be a key player in our team, contributing to the success and growth of our company. This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Estimator, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for various commercial construction projects, focusing on concrete work.
2. Utilizing software tools such as Bluebeam, Building Connected, and AutoCAD to draft designs, create models, and analyze data.
3. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand the scope of work and develop accurate estimates.
4. Conducting risk analysis to identify potential issues and develop contingency plans.
5. Participating in bid proposals, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for and accurately represented.
6. Monitoring and tracking project costs, providing regular updates to management and clients.
7. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and pricing to ensure estimates are competitive and accurate.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, specifically in concrete work.
2. Proficiency in using estimating and design software tools such as Bluebeam, Building Connected, and AutoCAD.
3. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
4. Excellent numerical skills and the ability to create accurate, detailed estimates.
5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying potential issues and developing effective solutions.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
