Commercial Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background completing ground-up commercial construction projects in the retail, hospitality, and healthcare areas. As a Commercial Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the construction site, from planning to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle and manage all project construction and field personnel to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within

budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

• Coordinate and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction, ensuring that the project gets

done on time and within budget.

• Direct and coordinate the activities of project team and internal resources, ensuring project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Review and inspect construction site offices to assess activity and work being performed.
• Coordinate with project staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Review status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required for project.
• Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Maintain and foster relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure coordination, cooperation, and timely completions.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and promotes a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience leading commercial projects as a Superintendent
• Proven ground-up project experience within the retail, hospitality, and/or healthcare sectors
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, and safety.
• Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Demonstrated ability to direct, manage, and lead a team of various trades.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Must be able to physically navigate on-site construction areas, including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
