Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and direct commercial construction projects from conception to completion, review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, and ensure that all aspects of the project are conducted to the highest industry standards. The successful candidate will have a robust background in project management, construction management, commercial construction, and budget management.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
2. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
3. Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
4. Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
5. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
6. Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
7. Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
8. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
9. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as construction project manager with 3+ years in the field of commercial construction.
2. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
3. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
4. Proficient in handling project management aspects, including budget management and resource allocation.
5. Good knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with construction/ project management software.
6. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
8. A team player with leadership abilities.
9. BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field.
10. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
