CNC Manager

We are the prime manufacturer in the Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) system. We manufacture buildings in chunks that can be transported and assembled on site into complex buildings quickly. We have over 700 employees, eleven production lines and have experienced significant growth through 2023.

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious CNC Operations Manager to join our team. As the CNC Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our CNC machining operations. Your responsibilities will include managing the CNC team, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and improving efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

● Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints and specifications to calculate dimensions, determine the sequence of machine operations, select the proper cutting tools, machine speeds and feed rates needed to optimize production.
● Create and edit CNC programs using Auto CAD.
● Test and revise programs to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been resolved.
● Create and maintain process documentation with instructions and in-process drawings or photos so machinist can understand instructions on how to set up and run the programs with ease
● Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications
● Work with Management to identify opportunities for process improvement within machine operations
● Be primarily responsible for initiating, executing, and analyzing Tooling Tests
● Effectively and efficiently carry out production process

• Supervises employees’ daily performance & assists in employee development
• Sets example with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in CNC machining, with a strong understanding of CNC operations and programming.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
• In-depth knowledge of CNC machinery, tooling, and machining processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards in manufacturing.
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
