Cloud Engineer - TS/SCI CI Poly

This is a government consulting company has been around for the past 10+ years and helps the Federal Government. They help discover cracks in software products which allows them to better understand application security and reinforce operating systems.

Job Details:

We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and coordinating cloud architecture and ensuring the alignment of web services and platform architecture. As a Cloud Engineer, you will work with development teams and other departments to identify optimal cloud solutions. You will also be responsible for maintaining and supporting cloud-based systems and for implementing efficient, scalable, and stable cloud infrastructures. MUST have an active TS/SCI CI Poly.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement cloud infrastructures in alignment with the company's business needs.
2. Develop and coordinate cloud architecture.
3. Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
4. Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
5. Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
6. Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud computing services.
4. Extensive knowledge of cloud computing and IT infrastructure.
5. Excellent understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Java, and Ruby.
6. Proven experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
8. Strong understanding of networking and data storage.
