We are actively seeking an experienced, dedicated, and passionate Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our dynamic medical team. This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of complex laboratory procedures and tests that aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role is particularly focused on clinical laboratory testing, endocrine, and fertility. The CLS will be expected to maintain the highest standards of quality and ensure accurate, timely results.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform complex laboratory procedures and tests in areas of clinical laboratory testing, endocrine, and fertility, interpreting and reporting results accurately.
2. Develop, validate, and implement new procedures and protocols to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory operations.
3. Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and calibrated correctly.
4. Adhere to all laboratory policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient laboratory environment.
5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
6. Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications.
8. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior laboratory staff and students.
9. Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
2. Valid and active state Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with specific experience in clinical laboratory testing, endocrine, and fertility.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory equipment, procedures, CLIA regulations, and technical medical terminology.
5. Strong technical skills, including the ability to perform complex laboratory tests and procedures.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate, timely results.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
9. Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
10. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
