We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to join our thriving Construction team. This is a permanent position, offering you the opportunity to lead a variety of exciting heavy civil projects, from highways, bridges, and roads to complex infrastructure developments. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

As a Civil Superintendent, your core responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
3. Supervising field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality control and project compliance.
4. Overseeing asphalt paving, seal coating, concrete curbing, and other related tasks.
5. Implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
6. Conducting regular site inspections and addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
7. Preparing and submitting project reports and updates to senior management.
8. Ensuring all work activities align with environmental regulations, including CO2 sequestration practices.
9. Managing project resources, equipment, and materials effectively to avoid wastage and delays.
10. Resolving any project-related issues, disputes, or challenges in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Civil Superintendent role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Civil Construction industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of civil construction processes, including road, bridge, highway construction, paving, asphalt, curb, concrete, seal coating, and CO2 sequestration.
3. Proficient in understanding and implementing slopes, grades, and grading.
4. A strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle project-related challenges effectively.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
8. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to different project sites as needed.
