Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Permanent Civil Litigation Attorney (Defense) to join our dynamic legal team. This unique opportunity will allow the successful candidate to handle a wide variety of civil litigation matters, primarily focusing on insurance defense, personal injury, liability, and construction. The ideal candidate must have a strong passion for litigation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while still contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Civil Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for:

1. Handling all aspects of civil litigation cases from inception through resolution.
2. Representing clients in court or before government agencies.
3. Preparing legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, etc.
4. Writing, reviewing, and editing reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents.
5. Presenting evidence to defend clients or initiate legal actions, in court or during litigation.
6. Collecting, examining, and presenting evidence to defend clients or initiate legal actions.
7. Conducting legal research and analysis of case law, statutes, legal articles, codes, and regulations.
8. Advising clients about their legal rights and obligations, and suggest courses of action in business and personal matters.
9. Negotiating settlements for legal disputes.
10. Complying with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in insurance defense, personal injury, liability, and construction.
4. Proven background in civil litigation and trial proceedings.
5. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
7. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
