We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong background in civil engineering, specifically within the wastewater and storm water collection sector. Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Designing, planning, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.
2. Conducting feasibility studies, including site investigations, complex analysis of collected data, and preparation of reports.
3. Managing and directing staff members and the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.
4. Directing or participating in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
5. Estimating quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
6. Performing complex analysis of collected storm water and wastewater data, including hydraulic modeling and floodplain mapping.
7. Using design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
8. Working with SewerCAD for sewer and storm water system designs.
9. Ensuring project compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines, including health and safety standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Civil Engineer position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of three years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a focus on wastewater and storm water collection systems.
3. Proficiency in using SewerCAD or equivalent software for sewer and storm water system designs.
4. In-depth knowledge of engineering design principles and construction methodologies.
5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
8. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
