Job Details:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Permanent Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in the design, development, and management of infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering principles and techniques, with a particular focus on hydrology, grading, foundations, and the design of substations. Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other).
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
• Use a range of computer software for developing detailed designs.
• Undertake complex calculations.
• Liaise with a variety of stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff such as architects and planners.
• Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
• Administer contracts, manage projects, monitor progress, and track and control project costs.
• Ensure projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.
• Design and oversee the construction of infrastructure for the transportation of electricity from substations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard design software such as Civil 3D.
• Proven experience in hydrology, grading, foundations, and design of substations.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and lead teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• High level of mathematical proficiency.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local construction regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a dedication to accuracy.
