We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Civil Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, planning, and managing various civil engineering projects, focusing on water and wastewater systems. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in civil engineering and a passion for contributing to sustainable and resilient infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, plan, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.
2. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects and to ensure the coordination of all drawings.
3. Develop design ideas for new or improved transport infrastructure, including junction improvements, pedestrian projects, cycle routes, and bus priority schemes.
4. Collaborate with project stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
5. Conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, municipal and regional traffic studies, environmental impact studies, and other investigations.
6. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
7. Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
8. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
9. Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
10. Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, a Master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in water and wastewater systems design, stormwater experience, and sewer systems.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
4. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
5. Extensive knowledge of industry regulations, guidelines, and standards.
6. Excellent project management skills with the ability to supervise and monitor multiple projects.
7. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a strong ability to present complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
8. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
9. A commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
10. Willingness to occasionally travel for site visits, client meetings, and other related duties.
