As a Permanent Civil Design Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Designing, planning and developing a variety of projects, including residential and commercial land development, municipal infrastructure, and transportation design projects.
2. Utilizing Civil3D, Autocad, Hydro-CAD, Hydro-Flow, and other Autodesk software for design and drafting purposes.
3. Preparing and modifying reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects.
4. Ensuring designs comply with NJDOT standards and regulations.
5. Conducting site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
6. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success.
7. Managing and leading the design team in the design process, ensuring design ideas are implemented effectively and efficiently.
8. Assisting in the resolution of complex technical design issues.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Civil Design Engineer role should have:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. A Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil design, land development, and municipal engineering.
4. Proficiency in Civil3D, Autocad, Hydro-CAD, Hydro-Flow, and other Autodesk software.
5. Extensive knowledge and understanding of NJDOT standards and regulations.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. A commitment to maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and developments in the civil engineering industry.
