Job Details

We are looking for Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technicians who uses CAD software to create technical drawings and plans for products and parts in the engineering, survey, construction, and manufacturing industries.

This role will work with the Project Manager to complete tasks as assigned. CAD tech will input design specifications into the CAD software. Working with a team or individually to complete the job. This position should have some experience using AutoCAD and Computer Skills since these are used daily.

Administrative duties are part of this position, and the candidate must have strong organizational skills, excellent communication, a positive attitude, and high energy. They must be comfortable and familiar with operating general software programs and Outlook. T

This role reports to the Director of Construction

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Downloads and processes field data in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Interprets and plots records deeds and plats for all types of property surveys.
The record-keeping and documentation of project requirements.
Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys (when needed), Plot plans, as-built, and other related surveys.
Manage crew schedules.
Make required modifications to drawings.
Receive, review, and return internal documents as requested on time, obtaining required authorizations to record billable hours and/or expenses for work performed.
Answer incoming calls to the department.
Solves routine problems and answers questions.
Performs essential clerical duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and scanning.
Complete any assigned projects promptly.
Maintain filing system for section paperwork, some of which may be confidential.
Be able to save documents on the shared drive.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school education
Associate degree in Drafting & Design (preferred)
Computer Skills in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
Must possess practical written and oral communication skills.
