Civil Bridge Engineer

Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for projects.
Client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Develop probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department.
Serve as a project manager or project engineer on smaller less complicated projects.
Guide technical staff to reduce designs to working drawings.
Visit construction sites to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
Serve as onsite project representative.
Utilize computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Perform occasional CAD work.
Attend client meetings – days or evenings (evenings being fairly unusual).
Responsible for project manager and/or project team quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual.
