CFO (20-40 hours/week)

This opportunity is with a small family office managing the financial affairs of a single family. The office provides fiscal management services including oversight of investments, estate planning, and tax management. The focus is on preserving and growing the family's wealth across generations.

Opportunity to have responsibility for the oversight and implementation of financial strategies aligned with the family’s goals and objectives. Provide strategic recommendations to the family members regarding investment opportunities, risk management, and financial decision-making, including budgeting, accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting for multiple entities. Monitor investment portfolios and work with existing investment advisors to optimize investment performance. Be involved with banking relationships, debt financing, and liquidity needs of the family office.

Seeking a highly ethical and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. This would be the perfect opportunity for a recently retired CFO or COO looking for a flexible position. The person will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the family office, providing strategic financial guidance to the family members, and involvement in the long-term financial health and sustainability of the family’s wealth. The person holding this position will have one direct report, the company’s controller.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Proven experience as a CFO or COO or senior financial executive in a family office, wealth management firm, or similar environment. Strong understanding of investment management, financial planning, and tax strategies. Provide leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with family members and their advisors. Possess analytical and problem-solving ability, with a keen attention to detail. Must be highly ethical, with integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
