Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL A Driver to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our products. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits. Our ideal candidate is an individual who is not only passionate about driving but also has a deep understanding of route driving, safety protocols, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations.
2. Load and unload cargo, ensuring all products are secured properly to prevent damage during transport.
3. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
4. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivering goods, using GPS or other navigation tools as necessary.
5. Maintain logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatch and management on delivery progress, including delays, arrivals, and equipment problems.
7. Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and courteously.
8. Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks such as cleaning and refueling as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in route driving is required, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
4. Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting heavy items and sitting for extended periods.
5. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to meet delivery deadlines consistently.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
7. Proven ability to navigate using GPS or other routing systems.
8. High level of responsibility and accountability, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
9. Must pass background check and drug test as part of the pre-employment process.
