Job Details:

We are actively seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Carpenter for our Manufacturing/Assembly and shipping department. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden crates and boxes made. This role requires a high attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Permanent Carpenter will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our final products being shipped out accordingly.

Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
2. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
3. Construct wooden crates and boxes in shipping department
4. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
5. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
6. . Ensure all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
7. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, and other tools as directed by management.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience working hands on with wood
2. Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).
3. Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
4. Working knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
5. Understanding of carpentry techniques
6. Proficient in English.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
8. Good physical condition and endurance, with the ability to lift heavy items and work on scaffolding or heights.
9. High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is a plus.
10. Must have a thorough knowledge and experience with various types of nails and their appropriate usage.
