Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement of goods, materials, and supplies necessary for our operation. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in aerospace, inventory management, forecasting, strategic planning, and material requirement planning (MRP). The Permanent Buyer will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time.

Responsibilities:

1. Be responsible for the procurement of raw material, goods, and services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
2. Implement and manage the ERP/MRP systems to ensure accurate inventory management and forecasting.
3. Carry out strategic planning for procurement processes, including cost analysis, budgeting, and purchase management.
4. Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring the negotiation of favorable terms and conditions.
5. Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
6. Conduct vendor management, ensuring the effective management of suppliers and the development of strategic partnerships.
7. Ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures that relate to purchasing.
8. Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.
9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
10. Manage and control all the purchasing aspects of the company's ERP system.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in the aerospace industry is highly desirable.
3. Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, and forecasting.
4. Solid understanding of strategic planning, material requirement planning (MRP), and purchasing.
5. Exceptional negotiation skills and experience with vendor management.
6. Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and contract management.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
9. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
