Business Development Director (Experience Selling to Heavy Duty Trailer Manufacturers)

**This is a new role with a great opportunity for growth. 100% Remote Role ~ Should live near airport AND be able to travel (70%).

We make all parts for the trailer: pistons, springs, wheel hubs, rods, flange, suspension shocks, slack adjuster, brakes, and cam shafts.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to join our team and lead our efforts in expanding our market presence in the heavy-duty trailer components industry.

This role involves creating and implementing sales and product strategies, maintaining relationships with key players, and identifying new business opportunities.

As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability by building strong partnerships with Trailer Manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and product plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Identify and acquire new business opportunities with Heavy Duty trailer component manufacturers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Direct and coordinate company sales and marketing functions.
  • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
  • Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.

Qualifications:
  • 100% Remote Role ~ Should live near airport AND be able to travel (70%).
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing sales and product strategies for Trailer Manufacturers.
  • Experience working with one of the world's largest manufacturers of heavy-duty commercial vehicle components, active in both the OEM and Aftermarket segments.
  • Experience with multiple warehouse distribution sites in the US to quickly get your customers the right product.
  • Strong emphasis on quality and R&D.
  • Proven ability to quickly make decisions on pricing and delivery times.
  • Solid book of business in Heavy Duty trailer component manufacturers.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to strategize and implement sales plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
