We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Bridge Superintendent to join our team in the construction industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who has a passion for infrastructure development and a keen interest in bridge construction and maintenance. This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of bridge construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Bridge Superintendent, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing and managing all stages of bridge construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Coordinating work with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals, and liaising with stakeholders such as the Department of Transportation (DOT).
3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including "ASME B31.8".
4. Supervising on-site personnel and subcontractors, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and effectively.
5. Planning, organizing, and directing activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
6. Inspecting work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
7. Implementing and enforcing stringent safety protocols, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.
8. Managing bridge replacement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic and local communities.
9. Preparing and submitting progress and cost tracking reports, and addressing potential problems or delays.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in the heavy civil construction industry, with a strong focus on bridge construction and maintenance.
2. Proven experience in overseeing and managing bridge replacement projects.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction safety protocols and a strong commitment to promoting a safety-first culture on site.
4. Familiarity with DOT regulations and standards, and experience in liaising with transportation authorities.
5. Proficiency in "ASME B31.8" or equivalent standards.
6. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to supervise and motivate on-site personnel.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
9. A degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
